Our Christmas campaign: Giving the gift of education.

A massive thank you to everyone who supported our Christmas campaign for your generosity in donating. We received $16,017 to substantially eclipse the original $10,000 target we set!

For 10 years WRS has supported the education of children of families who have fled from Myanmar and are living in Malaysia. In 2020 and 2021, the pandemic has significantly impacted how we have operated, as normally our volunteers would have undertaken 3 trips per year to teach in the schools and provide other support and resources.

Despite no recent visits to Malaysia, WRS has maintained its financial commitment to eight schools and support organisations. We are grateful that through your kindness we will be able to continue to provide funding and resources in the new year.

We are so grateful to be able to continue our work in 2022 with refugee communities in Malaysia, and will recommence volunteer trips once travel restrictions permit it.
