Education, their hope.

“My advice to all my fellow refugee parents is to send your children to school despite the difficulties”.

Zo Bawi fled from Myanmar in 2007.  He now lives in Kuala Lumpur with his wife and three children.  In this video, he shares how they finance themselves, living in a 2 bedroom apartment with several other people - plus why education is critical for their children.

“Education will help direct them to the right path” says Zo Bawi in explaining why he wants his children to be educated.

With January 24th being the International Day of Education, we are particularly aware of the importance of providing opportunities for young people to go to school. As the United Nations observes: Education offers children a ladder out of poverty and a path to a promising future.
